D2 Build was founded in 2011 by Jim D’Altroy after years of working with homeowners in Toronto real estate. Earlier in his career, Jim helped families across the city’s east end buy and sell homes. Over time, he saw a common problem: many homeowners loved their neighbourhood, but their house no longer fit the way they lived.
As Toronto prices rose, moving up became harder. Families needed more space, better layouts, modern systems, and smarter storage but leaving the community they loved was not always the right answer.
