D2 Build demolished the aging open porch, framed a new enclosure, and meticulously matched the original tan siding and finishes to ensure the addition looked like it was always meant to be there.
This East York home originally featured an open, concrete front porch bordered by heavy brick half-walls. While functional in the summer, the homeowners wanted to enclose the space to create a year-round vestibule.
The primary objective was aesthetic harmony: the new structure needed to blend flawlessly with the home’s existing exterior.
By carefully matching the new horizontal lap siding to the original upper-story cladding and preserving the structural brick column, the resulting enclosure provides incredible utility without sacrificing the home’s original curb appeal.
